Never underestimate the power of the Australians!

iTunes has published a list of the Best Podcasts for 2009, and Smart Mouths is listed in the “Best New Audio” category.

BUT, we’re only listed in their Australia store! You won’t see it if you’re viewing the page from other country stores.

Because I care about you all so much, I traveled with my MacBook to Australia, logged on to iTunes as soon as I arrived at the airport, and took screencaps of the accomplishment:

First, Keith Olbermann stole our WTF segment, and now CNN has blatantly ripped off my Political Tweet of the Week segment. This is simply unacceptable listeners. After all, we all know that a nationally syndicated news network spends its days looking to rip off “mature” podcasts.

I would never suggest writing to CNN to tell them about Smart Mouths and our Political Tweet of the Week segment. Oh no. To do so would be encouraging madness….

We’re taking this week off due to conflicting schedules – but never fear. Tomorrow night, Penny, Greg and myself will be packaging up all of the t-shirts to put in the mail for you fine people who ordered them; and there may just be a video in the works…

Today our resident Smart Mouths matriarch celebrates her birthday, and on behalf of the entire team and our loyal listeners, I’d like to wish her the best and happiest of days! In many ways, Penny’s perseverance in kicking our asses into shape getting things done is often the driving force that gets our plans off the ground. We wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves if she didn’t offer her sensible and determined input on the show each week! From a personal standpoint, Penny is THE go-to person for advice and is always a patient listener with many kind things to say. In an effort to wrap up the sap, we’d basically be screwed without her. Happy Birthday!!!

Once you grab the Smart Mouths iPhone/iPod touch app on iTunes, you’ll probably wonder how to download the bonus content (in this case, Episode 34).

It’s simple! Click on Smart Mouths #35, then click “Extras” in the top right. You’ll then see a button that says “Bonus Content”.

It’s important that you click on the “Extras” button AFTER selecting Episode 35. Otherwise you’ll be looking on the wrong page.

With each new episode, we’ll try to include some new Bonus Content only available through the app. Remember, your purchase of the app goes to supporting the show – and we give you something really cool in return!

Every show has one. Smart Mouths is no different. We are now the official owners of our own LOST EPISODE.

Episode 34 has gone the way of the dodo bird….never to be seen again….for now.

Due to many many different reasons, Episode 34 did not want to get put out this week. We can’t really go into detail but let’s just say it is more trouble than it is worth to put out the episode at this point.

BUT fear not, the episode will be surfacing in several weeks….along with a big announcement….and we’ll tell you about it then.

In the meantime we can spoil you by telling you that Episode 34, (which incidentally was not even supposed to be recorded at all) is a WTF FILLED Episode. We’re talking WTF Politics, World News, Pop Culture, Fun Segment etc.

Hey, everyone! So you may have noticed that episode 14 has not yet been released. Well, that’s because we haven’t recorded it yet. Apparently every single one of the hosts were indisposed with something whether it was the fact that our mothers were demanding our time (myself included) or their own (Penny ). Do not fret, we will be recording the episode today and it will be a rush “NEXT DAY AIR” release for your listening enjoyment.
