OMG, the teenager roasts kitten story is so awful, I’ve been having nightmares about someone trying to burn my dogs since I watched The Butterfly Effect!
I have a cat in my house that I don’t really like (BTW her name is Penny) but I’d never do something like that,NEVER.
It’s so sad to know there are people out there that are capable of doing such atrocities.
I’ve watched shows on animal planet about people getting arrested for cruelty to animals, but they usually get away with a small bail. Don’t you think there should be a bigger punishment for these kind of things?
I mean, these people are sick and I don’t think they’re too far of doing awful things to a human.

Yeah, soccer and cheerleading moms are very scary people. No offense.

I can’t wait to listen!! I’ll be listening to it tomorrow, many miles above the ground as I fly to California. Can’t wait. I’m especially excited about what you guys have to say about the new iPhone 3G S. I’m sure Greg is leading the conversation, and I’m most looking forward to his thoughts.

Tech news should have been called this week in apple. I was disappointed that you guys didn’t cover anything that happened at E3, the biggest gaming conference of the year. I don’t know if any of you are gamers at all but still there were things that we learned that would interest you even if you don’t play that much at all. And since Andrew said he was a big fan of the Sims I’m a bit surprised he hasn’t weighted in on how he feels about the Sims 3 especially since it has been released on the iphone and ipod touch.

Hey Smart Mouths!
I was reading this article and thought that it would be perfect for the WTF News segment. I would love to hear what you guys have to say about it.

Elyssa,
you Have one huge fan right here to make up for the mean comment about not liking Green-day. Also that mom said she’d been trying to get her teenage daughter to listen. Well it’s the exact opposite at my home. I’m thirteen and so is my friend. We’ve both listened to for awhile and have been trying to convince our mothers to listen. This is hilarious to some people. Anyways, love the show and feel better soon Elyssa (Hope I spelled your name right!!)

Yay!! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to listen…I’m going to do my best to avoid the kitten roast story…that’s seriously like my WORST nightmare. I’m a huge animal lover.

its horrible to hear about someone killing a cat like that. here in miami we’ve got this serial cat killer who’s killed about 19 cats so far, and they dont even know who it is. it makes me angry and i hope they find this person. why would anyone do such disturbing things?
June 11th, 2009 on 1:05 PM

I literally screamed my head off when I heard the WTF News I posted on the forums on the show

Great show! I just wanted to point out something about the journalists.
The border between North Korea and China is mostly the Yalu (Amnok) River, which is a huge river. It’s highly unlikely that the two journalists didn’t know that it was the border. Plus, the security can’t be loose since the river is crossed a lot by North Korean refugees trying to flee North Korea into China. While I doubt that the journalists went with the intention of getting into North Korea via the Yalu River, I think it was an impulsive decision that was timed extremely badly.

Yay another episode! Thank you guys so much for doing this. It’s really interesting and relevant to hear about politics and whatnot from the perspective of people my own age.
I haven’t listened to the latest episode yet but it seems like you completely left out any mention of Adam Lambert. I know Elyssa is a big fan (just like me!) so I’m surprised you guys never discussed the American Idol finale and Adam’s recent Rolling stone article. I have a feeling that he might be the next big thing so I’d be interested to hear you guys’ opinions. Sorry I’ll stop fangirling now!
Thanks a lot guys and wish you all the best! This is my favourite podcast.

I will retract my complaint in the comment above. Thank you for the discussion! You did talk about Adam Lambert! Thanks!

Hey Smart Mouths! Loved the show, especially the new segment.
I just would like to request that you talk about the Tony Awards! You skipped over them entirely in the last episode, and it was an event I was really hoping you would cover. It occurred on Sunday the Seventh of June, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris at Radio City Music Hall, and broadcasted live on CBS. Just letting you know that I’d love you guys forever if you mentioned it! Thanks so much.
