How to download bonus content in the Smart Mouths app

Once you grab the Smart Mouths iPhone/iPod touch app on iTunes, you’ll probably wonder how to download the bonus content (in this case, Episode 34).
It’s simple! Click on Smart Mouths #35, then click “Extras” in the top right. You’ll then see a button that says “Bonus Content”.
It’s important that you click on the “Extras” button AFTER selecting Episode 35. Otherwise you’ll be looking on the wrong page.
With each new episode, we’ll try to include some new Bonus Content only available through the app. Remember, your purchase of the app goes to supporting the show – and we give you something really cool in return!

I would buy the app in an instant, but I’m pretty sure you aren’t allowed to BUY apps in Canada if your under iTunes Canada… at least that’s what I was told when I asked why the hell I couldn’t buy any apps last time.
Great idea, reminds me of pickepack, lol, but kind of sucks for people who don’t have iPhone, iTouch, or have access to buying things from iTunes.

Yeah, I kind of feel like I’m being penalized for not being in love with Apple and not having an iPhone. It would be nice if the listeners could get this bonus content on the website, or the iPhone app as they please.

Don’t make it too exclusive. A lot of people can’t get these apps. My friends in Italy can’t get any of this stuff and they are such huge fans.
It’s still awesome guys and I think the app looks crisp!

well shit. i don’t have a iphone or ipod touch! i love apple and i wish i had the money to “suck apple’s dick”. But i only have a 2 year old four gig ipod full of your shows, so I’d have to agree with IpseVerus, make it available online! i’ll still pay what ever the app cost!

WTF? Can’t get the episode because I have an iPod 4g and I don’t have an iPhone? You guys getting kick backs from Apple or what? AT&T is terrible in my area, and until Verizon and Apple play nice, I’m stuck with my LG enV Touch, which is a pretty nice phone, but no Apple store.
When I can afford an iPod touch, I will get one, but I guess until then I am a second hand Smartmouths citizen

Hey guys.
I’m just wondering if we’ll ever get episode 34? The wonderful, wtf-filled episode you promised we’d all get a hand on… what about those of us that don’t appreciate the wonders or Apple, or those like me, who are 13 and whose parents monitor our spending on itunes so we can’t get an iPod touch or anything?

Please do not assume all your listeners have iPhones. This may surprise many of you, who are so far up Apple’s arse that your face is covered in their shit.

The bonus content will be available on the website. We couldn’t make the app free because the people who helped us build it require it to be a paid application. We understand that not everyone has an iPhone, and not everyone will be able to purchase the app, so we’re going to make sure that everyone has access to the content from the app on the website. We’re working through the technical issues.

While we understand and appreciate that many of you want access to this content, let’s not turn this whole debate into “Apple corporate mongers vs. maligned listeners”. 84% of you download our show through iTunes, an APPLE program. If you’re upset that you don’t have the device needed to access this content presently, join the club. Neither Micah or myself own iPhones.
That said, we are currently brainstorming ways to try and involve non-iPhone users, but it’s not going to happen over night. Please be patient. Know that episode 34 is not EXCLUSIVE to the app, and that it will be released for everyone very soon. We wanted content to launch the app with, and happened to think giving buyers an early listen to the show was a nice idea.

Though i find the idea of an iPhone app brilliant for those who have the iPhone i just hope that myself, being one with out the device, will be able to get all the context from the app online. How about something likeeeee pickle packkkk like you did for mugglecast? that would be fantastic! i will not complain about not being able to use the app because i know that eventually i will be able to listen to all the stuff on there, whenever you guys figure out how. Love the show, thanks so muchhhh.

Just some clarification: Anyone can get the app. But with that said, if you don’t have an iPhone or an iTouch, there’s really no point. But regardless of where you live, you can get it. And pretty easily, at that.
All you have to do is go and try to download a free app. Any app will do, and it has to be FREE. Then, you click sign up with it asks you for your iTunes account, and you fill everything out. Not: This will only work with a free app, because it gives you the “none” option for payments. Then, once you have your account, you can go and purchase an iTunes gift card, click “buy” on the app, and enter your card info, and BAM! You have the ever-elusive SmartMouths app!
