Hey smartmouths,
I am having some problems with gettting the episodes on my ipod.
Last time, for the past episodes, it only takes about 3 to 5 minutes for me to get each episode downloaded, now, for this latest episode, i am taking up to 6 hours according to the download timer on itunes.
Secondly, I don’t know what is going on but after downloading episode 24 last week, episodes 20 to 23 disappears on my ipod after i sync it and now, while i am downloading episode 25, episodes 20 to 24 have all disappeared as well. Ep 25 is also taking 6 hours to download with constant disconnection…really constant..
I am a smartmouths subscriber..and getting the episodes have been fine till now. What’s going on? Is there something wrong with my itunes?
Please help.

I felt special haha. Once again, great podcast and I am really looking forward to when you guys discuss health care because I’ve been doing a lot of my own research too. My friend and I have had e-mail debates back and forth on the health-care issue, so I’m really interested to hear what you guys have to say.

Zara – not sure about your first problem, but I think I know what the second one is:
Open up iTunes. Go to the podcast section; hit “settings” down at the bottom. You should get a little pop up box with four drop down menus; the top one should be the one with how often your feed updates. The second is the one for which podcast’s settings you’re changing – make sure it’s either Smart Mouths or default (if you’re doing Smart Mouths’ settings only, make sure the box saying “Use default settings” is unchecked).
The bottom drop down menu says “Episodes to Keep:” – you want to change this to “all episodes” and you should be fine now.
Okay, clearly I over complicated this, so tl;dr, just change your podcast settings.

A Health Reform episode is a great idea, it would be a good opportunity to dispel some of the false information that’s been going around.

You dropped the ball on Greg’s Shaq-Magic reference (you seem to have mixed up the Orlando and Miami).
In the very beginning of his career from 92-96 Shaq started out with Orlando, which is the correct framework for the likes of Greg and me still thinking in terms of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.
We can forgive you as you were indeed too young to recall this.

Nice to hear you all recommend the BBC World News. When I heard that the Nigeria story was hard to find I thought “What? It was the top news!”. But well, I live in Europe
If you don’t feel comfortable reading the news you can watch the TV station for free at http://www.livestation.com/channels/10. Or you can get the BBC World News app for your iPhone. Unfortunately this is not available in the U.S.

As far as the Korea issue…
They were not being held in prison…they were in a hotel, with no real chance of them ever heading there. The entire thing was a ploy of Kim’s to get publicity.
Plus, how did they happen to “accidentally” cross over the border?? Please…they went over to get a story for Current TV. They should have been arrested!

It’s not like she’s “stupid” (as Andrew said it). It’s just the way their mind works. So they fall in love with the inanimate object? At least they know that the roller coaster isn’t going to cheat on them.

Ugh, the child being dragged by the leash is disgusting. But Awesome show as always. And Im looking forward to your Health Care explanation/debate. I dont understand it much since like you said all people do is agree or disagree with it and not explain in detail the points.
