This sucks. I can’t subscribe because SM is not available in my country’s iTunes store. How the hell am I supposed to listen?
January 6th, 2010 on 2:30 PM

i went to go see avatar. it was good. the begining was a bit slow but the end was really cool. cool effects and the storyline really was “ehhh” nothing special. it made me laugh that you say its like pocohantas because it sort of is like that! but the 3D was nothng special…. i don’t get the big deal about 3D. its just annoying to wear those glasses (especially if you wear glasses as i do…) and i don’t find that it makes the movie anymore special. its just more costly. all in all, avatar was good. its something you should see if you’re into that sort of movie genre but nothing you have to run to.

oh and yes the movie was very long. movies that long need intermission to allow people to use the restroom! and you should all see up in the air! george clooney was very entertaining and you see a whole other side of anna kendrick. it was very funny. princess and the frog was so cute! the music was good (as you all said on the show). and if you haven’t seen 500 days of summer you should definitly watch it! its very orginal and the soundtrack is very good. i didn’t know it was getting the oscar buzz but i am happy it is

oh and i don’t know what movies are nominated for best picture at the oscars but if precious were to win it would be fully deserved. yes the movie scared me to death but it was done very well and the acting was really good. the film really pulls at you (and haunts you….)

(i’m commenting as i listen to the show thats why i keep commenting… annoying i know. i have to stop but…) penny, i watched almost famous since you recomennded it and i loved it. it was a bit painful to watch though because i don’t really like kate hudson all that much but i liked the main charachter (forgot his name!).

Listening to the show now, sounding great – but just FYI, Gervais is pronounced ‘ger-vay-s’ =P’

Was a little scared when I saw the episode title, but the show was very good! I liked the return of the fun segments. It was indeed fun.

Hey Smartmouths!
I was wondering if you could add the direct link to the podcast available for download. My schools proxy does not allow me to download from iTunes and I’m never able to stay in one place long enough to listen to it.
Thank you!

Great episode! I miss Laura already.
I am glad the fun segments are back, because it just completes it. I really loved the first time they did Fruit or Naughty British Word, so I think they should bring it back!

I agree on the direct download option, unable to stream and no Itunes access. We used to be able to direct download, why did it change?

Greg-
I thought of Peeta from the Hunger Games as Indian too.

Yes, please bring back the direct download! If they don’t read these posts very often they may not be aware that we want it back, we should send in e-mails about the problem, rather than just posting requests for it to be brought back here. Anyone who wants the direct download back, send them an e-mail, okay? They may be experiencing problems and may not even be aware that it’s gone, this happened once before. Then, like two weeks later, the direct download link was back up again.

Yes! Direct download is back! Hooray!
