Smart Mouths #54: Donut Hole

We enjoyed the three person episode so much last week, we decided to do another one. This time with Elysa, Greg, and Micah (Elysa is and always will be the Peanut Butter in the middle of the bread though).
Pretty much here’s what was discussed on this show:
-Health Care
Besides that, not much else. We had a Texas filled backwash and WTF news was more sensual than ever. If you get to the end of the episode without falling asleep from all the Health Care talk, we will give you all proverbial gold stars, so let us know that you listened to the whole thing!

THANK YOU! I need to get more information on Health Care! Everywhere I looked for information it was all biase bullshit, on both sides.. I should probably just listen to that Healthcare 101 episode, but I feel it may not be relevent considering some things were added and erased from the bill. Downloading now!

Penny is correct. We definitely don’t. Free booze is incentive enough. It may get out of hand, however. You okay with public displays of nudity? Bit of a prerequisite.

I haven’t listened to this one yet, but I remember the Health Care 101 episode you did and I loved that one. You guys actually took the time to learn about what you’re talking about and were able to present it in an understandable fashion while still being entertaining. That’s why I love you guys. I’m gonna listen to this one ASAP, and I’m sure I’ll love it. Keep up the great work.

I did listen to it all, but it was kind of a boring episode to me. But the bloopers made up for it! PENNNNYYYYY ^^

This episode was great,not boring at all ! Very informative,and not too biased..I agree with Micah that their behavior in Congress is childish and not what you expect mature people in govt. to act like…or maybe I expect too much …loved the accent, Greg,and Elysa, you are my most favorite !!tho I love you all. Keep up the awesome job !

I have started to listen to this episode. As an Australian who has trouble understanding US politics it is a huge help. Thanks so much to all three of you for helping me get a better understanding of your country in relation to health. It would mean so much to me if you would read this on the show. Love you all at Smartmouths. I am also a fan of Imprint and have been a fan of Mugglecast ever since it started. Thanks so much for smartmouths. Loved the episode – I’ve admitted to the world that I get all of my political information from you guys. And – if Micah approached me about seeing me in my undies, I would oblige – but I’m most likely not going to be his first (or second, or third…) choice. Greg, I loved the Texas accent!

LOVED this episode. The healthcare discussion was great and informative because it’s so hard to weed through all the biased BS out there. Excellent job Elysa as always! Greg, the Texas accent was epic, as all your accents are. Also the return of WTF news Barry White style!
I feel you Micah on being kept to working close to 38 hours/week. (Congrats on the job BTW, and good luck using Greg’s line at Infinitus) My employer did that to me for 2 years before finally deciding to hire me full time. I’m currently 24 so I get it. Luckily in Colorado the age to stay on your parent’s healthcare is 25, so I was covered.

I think this is one of my favorite podcasts you’ve done to date. Because I live in the UK, the only real info I had about the status of the healthcare bill and the oponion of actual real americans on it was coming from your show, and this episode really exlained everything well. It helped me form something of a valid opnion on the bill, and I certainly found it very amusing as well

Elysa, I knwo you work on Capitol Hill, and I saw this. I don’t know if it’s too short notice now, or if you’re already going, but if you can make it you really should!! Blue October are an amazing band, and the event promises to be really & truly amazing
