Hi guys! I’m an avid listener of Mugglecast, Imprint and recently HPprogs! I really want to listen to this new podcast, but I don’t see direct DL links like the other podcasts. I use a PSP to download these podcasts so direct DL is needed

Tauqir- Right now we don’t have the bandwidth to do so, but as the show gets bigger, hopefully that will be an option. Is it possible to let it download over night or something? I hope it won’t be too hard for you!

Penny,
Thank you so much for the heads up on the SpongeBob app for the Iphone! I am a huge SpongeBob fan and this new app makes me smile every time I see it. It also keeps me entertained during ADV-207.

Regarding the spending on public transit in the stimulus package, as I understand it, some of that money will go into the economy almost instantly, as many public transit projects are already in the works and are underfunded or on hold because of a lack of funds. That means construction and other private sector workers will have additional work almost immediately. Besides this, public transit is important because many people, especially wage slaves, rely on it to get to their jobs, and save for a couple cities it sucks. Many people live way out of town, where they can afford the rents, and commute long distances to where the work is, having to make multiple connecting busses. I’ve done it myself and it’s not pleasant or easy. Would you be more productive if you had an hour commute instead of a three hour commute? Then there’s the cases where public transit is not an option. Sometimes people in our car dominated culture forget about those who are not fortunate enough to own a car… and those who can’t drive.

Fantastic show guys. I’m loving everything about it. But I have to say that I completely disagree with you guys saying that The Dark Knight is not a Best Picture film. In terms of quality and the impact it has had on the entire film world it is most definatly Best Picture material and should have been nominated. It had stunning VFX and cinematography, a beautiful score and flawless direction by Chris Nolan. But no, they were apparently too elitist and close-minded to actually nominate a comic book movie and decided to give the very mediocre The Reader a nom instead. Puh-lease. Anyway, excuse me for my little rant there but films are my everything so I can get a bit crazy when it comes to them. Again, great show and keep up the amazing work.

omg this show its hysterical & extremely informative. i love the way andrew is all excited its explicit & keeps giving constant reminders that it is. wtf news rocks! but the hosts are always agreeing with each other and theres no fun in that. bring on the controversy. but still love the show!!!!!!!!! big mugglecast & imprint fan.

About the census: I’m actually going to work for it this year, and the way they train and test us to work for it it seems like sampling doesn’t matter anyway. By giving any type of questionnaire there is always the risk that people bend the truth on them. It’s way too complicated to track people to make sure they aren’t lying about their income, race, housing situation, etc. Most people are generally honest, but if you are forced to do this, which everyone that receives a questionnaire is (They are pestered to death until they fill it out. Someone actually comes to your house if you dont send in your questionnaire by the second time they mail it to you, its rather annoying I feel.), so people get fed up and just fill out BS to get it out of the way.
Thats all I have to say.

I just wanted to comment that I love the show. I am actually only subscribed to 2 podcasts. Mugglecast and Imprint. It’s soon to be three because this one is GREAT!
I am also strangely pleased to hear you all be able to talk without censoring yourselves. A good WTF every now and then is good for the soul, lol… Now my news sources will be The Daily Show, the Colbert Report and Smart Mouths!

I must say that I disagree with the statement made about President Obama’s election on episode #21. Mr. Obama was elected not because of the Black vote; he was elected because he was the most qualified and more palatable candidate. Realistically, the same black people who always vote, voted, and the same black people who never vote didn’t If every single eligible black person in this country voted for Obama, he still would not have won as black people hardly constitute a majority. Simply, most people voted for him despite their reasoning. Obama’s election is the embodiment of consensus.

I would just like to comment on the boy getting a girl pregnant at 13 on the What The Fuck news. I am 13 years old and honestly, have never seen a kid my age, look so f ing young. He looks about 8. The whole story scares the shit out of me. Just wanted to leave my input. Love the show, don’t change a thing!!!
